The Hurdle Before the First Call
Strong fear of the dentist usually arises from distressing or traumatic experiences in the past. This leads to check-up appointments being postponed for years. We have complete understanding for this.
- •A Gradual Process: Through the prolonged absence from dental visits, initially small cavities can develop into painful infections or loose teeth.
- •Loss of Quality of Life: Those who can no longer bite freely or laugh openly often feel noticeably restricted in daily life and among friends.
- •The Shame of the First Step: Often the worry about reproach from the dentist or the shame about the 'poor condition' of the teeth is much greater than the actual fear of treatment.
Our primary concern is, in the first step, simply to find out what is medically sensible. Judgement or comments about missed appointments do not exist at MEDICAL ART.

Treatments as Stress-Free as Possible
To make your visit as pleasant as possible, we rely on proven medical support methods – from nitrous oxide through twilight sedation to general anaesthesia. Particularly for extensive procedures, general anaesthesia is a gentle and frequently used option.
You sleep deeply, usually notice nothing of the actual procedure, and are continuously monitored by a physician. Feelings of anxiety can thereby be significantly reduced in many cases. The treatment time is noticeably shortened, as many work steps can be compactly bundled.

Experiences of Our Patients
The Step Towards Relief
Healthy teeth without constant pain or inflammation are an important foundation for an unburdened daily life. It is important to us to accompany your path there in a plannable and gentle manner.
Should extensive appointments be necessary, we are happy to advise you discreetly if you wish to use a suitable instalment payment plan.
Information on Support Methods
Every use of general anaesthesia requires professionally trained personnel, continuous monitoring, and special medications.
- ✓Specialist-supervised general anaesthesia for standard dental treatments is usually considered a private additional service. We inform you clearly and transparently about these costs in advance.
- ✓Milder support methods such as nitrous oxide sedation or so-called twilight sedation can also significantly relax the treatment. We advise you on which option suits your case.
Step by Step to Stable Dental Health
Calm Initial Conversation
Please feel free to tell us on the phone that you are an anxious patient. The first appointment then truly serves only for assessment and a standard X-ray.
Joint Treatment Planning
We discuss all findings and calmly consider together whether the upcoming treatment is best performed with standard anaesthesia or under general anaesthesia.
The Actual Therapy
Depending on the chosen support method, we can often combine many treatment steps into a single appointment – relaxed and under continuous monitoring.
Rest and Accompaniment
After treatment under anaesthesia, you can relax in our recovery rooms for as long as needed until your circulation is stable. You may then have a companion drive you home.
Take All the Time You Need
Professional societies estimate that 5 to 10 percent of the population suffer from clinically relevant dental anxiety – and significantly more people experience strong discomfort before a dental visit. We are aware of this and meet it without judgement. Our team records your findings with objectivity and respect. Take the first step entirely at your own pace. From there, we accompany you.
Nobody has to endure severe anxiety at the dentist. With proven methods such as general anaesthesia, complex treatment can be performed in a relaxed manner for many patients.
