When Hair Becomes Thinner
Hair loss or thinning hair affects men and women alike and has diverse causes – from genetics through stress to hormonal changes.
- •Receding Hairline & Thinning Part: Visible scalp at the temples or a widening part are often the first signs of declining hair growth.
- •Diffuse Thinning: The hair loses overall strength, feels finer, and breaks more easily.
- •Limits of Shampoos: Conventional care products often only work superficially on the hair shaft but do not penetrate to the actual hair root.
To effectively slow hair loss, blood circulation and nutrient supply must be improved directly at the hair follicle in the scalp.
Regeneration Through PRP Therapy
At our practice, we work very successfully with PRP therapy (Platelet-Rich Plasma). Here we use the regenerative potential of your own blood.
The blood plasma contains valuable growth factors. When this plasma is specifically injected into the scalp, it stimulates microcirculation. The hair roots (follicles) are better supplied with nutrients, which can counteract hair loss and stimulate the growth of new, stronger hair.
Why PRP for Hair Therapy at MEDICAL ART?

Experiences of Our Patients
Investment in Full Hair
Treatments to promote hair growth through PRP are cosmetic-aesthetic services billed privately according to the medical fee schedule (GOÄ). Health insurers do not cover these costs.
Before starting therapy, we honestly discuss with you the expected number of sessions and the associated costs.
Your Investment Framework
The costs depend on the size of the area to be treated on the scalp.
- ✓For the best possible result, 3 to 4 treatments at intervals of approximately 4 weeks are generally needed.
- ✓Thanks to our billing partner, you can conveniently finance the costs for a course in monthly instalments.
How PRP Hair Therapy Works
Diagnostics & Blood Draw
After the medical examination, we draw a small amount of blood from you (like a normal blood test).
Preparation
The blood is centrifuged directly at the practice. In this process, we separate the active-ingredient-rich blood plasma from the red blood cells.
The Injection
The plasma is injected with very fine needles directly into the affected areas of the scalp to surround the hair roots.
Are the Injections into the Scalp Painful?
The scalp is indeed well supplied with blood, but through the use of extremely fine needles (mesotherapy needles), the treatment is very well tolerable for most patients. Patients often describe the procedure merely as a light, localised pricking.
Mehr zu unseren Comfort-Optionen →With PRP, we give the scalp back what it needs for healthy growth. It is fascinating to see how much the body itself is capable of regenerating when it receives the right stimulus.
