- •Drooping Eyelids (Upper Lid): An excess of skin on the upper lid presses on the eyelashes. The eye appears smaller, more tired, and applying make-up often becomes more difficult.
- •Under-Eye Bags (Lower Lid): Protruding fat tissue on the lower lid makes the face look exhausted, even when you feel well-rested.
- •Restricted Field of Vision: With severely pronounced drooping eyelids, there can even be a genuine restriction of the field of vision.
When creams and minimally invasive methods (such as botulinum toxin) no longer achieve a sufficient lifting effect, surgical eyelid tightening offers the most effective solution.
Millimetre Work for the Eye
In upper eyelid tightening (blepharoplasty), we precisely remove excess skin and – if necessary – small fat pads that weigh down the lid. The ultra-fine incision is placed exactly in the natural lid crease.
In lower eyelid tightening, we correct protruding under-eye bags. This is done either via an invisible incision on the inside of the lid (transconjunctival) or directly beneath the lash line, if excess skin also needs to be removed.

The Procedure
The operation is usually performed on an outpatient basis under local anaesthesia (or under twilight sedation if desired) and takes approximately one hour.
The Healing Phase
You should cool the eye area well after the procedure. After approximately 5 to 7 days, the fine sutures are removed.
Will I Have Severe Pain Afterwards?
No, an eyelid lift is considered a very low-pain procedure. After the operation, a slight feeling of tightness may occur, which can be well managed with mild cooling. There may be some swelling and small bruises in the first days, which however subside quickly.
