Professional Bleaching
Gentle Whitening for Your Natural Smile

Often just a few shades are enough to make your face appear noticeably fresher. With professional bleaching (teeth whitening), we rely on medically safe procedures that are gentle on your teeth and protect the gums as effectively as possible.

The Starting Point

Why Teeth Darken

Teeth naturally come in very different shades and gradually darken over the years in almost everyone. This is a natural process, but often appears bothersome to many patients when looking in the mirror.

  • Everyday Indulgences: Coffee, black tea, dark wine, or tobacco consumption leave fine colour pigments that become deeply embedded in the enamel.
  • The Natural Ageing Process: Even with the best care, the structure of teeth changes over the years beyond deposits, causing the more yellowish dentin to show through more prominently.
  • Colour Changes After Treatments: Root-treated teeth can also take on a darker colour from within over time.

Ordinary toothpaste or cleaning reaches its limits with such deep-seated discolouration. Here, professional medical bleaching offers a very good whitening option.

Our Approach

Safe and Medically Sound

At MEDICAL ART, we use specially formulated, medically tested whitening gels for in-office bleaching. Under professional observation, active oxygen is released which gently breaks down the embedded colour pigments in the tooth without removing the natural tooth substance (enamel).

Because the health of your teeth is close to our hearts, we gently apply a protective layer to your gums before the actual treatment, so that the gel acts exclusively on the tooth during the exposure time.

Quality in Execution

Why Bleaching at a Dental Clinic?

Safe Tissue Protection

Unlike over-the-counter home kits, we carefully cover the gums. This largely prevents whitening agents from reaching sensitive tissue.

Shared Colour Selection

Brilliant white or subtle naturalness? We discuss in detail beforehand how bright your teeth should appear afterwards.

Gentle Materials

Our gels are effective while remaining gentle on tooth hard substance. Cold sensitivity can thus be kept low in our experience.

Visible Result

All in one appointment: after a relaxed approximately 90 minutes in our chair, you generally leave the practice with a visibly brighter smile.

More Joy in Smiling

Bleaching can noticeably enhance personal well-being. We are happy to check in an initial consultation whether all prerequisites for a beautiful result are met in your case.

Should we recommend small fillings or a dental cleaning before the bleaching, we make the necessary steps and costs absolutely transparent in the planning.

Costs & Reimbursement

Is the Treatment Subsidised?

Since bleaching is a purely cosmetic service (the teeth do not become healthier, only brighter), statutory and many private health insurers generally do not cover the costs.

  • For an even result, a professional dental cleaning is usually recommended before bleaching (this is often subsidised).
Your Treatment Process

Calm, Professional, and Step by Step

01

Discussion and Inspection

We examine your teeth carefully. If the gums are inflammation-free, we jointly determine your desired target brightness using a colour scale.

02

Dental Cleaning Beforehand

Before the actual bleaching, the teeth are thoroughly freed from coarse deposits so that the whitening gel can take effect evenly.

03

The Actual Whitening

After covering the gums, the gel is applied multiple times and gently rinsed off until the most natural, brighter result possible is achieved.

04

Finishing Care

After removing all materials, we apply a remineralising protective layer (fluoride varnish/calcium) to the teeth to effectively cushion temporary tooth sensitivity.

Relaxing Atmosphere for Dental Cosmetics

A bleaching procedure is more comparable to a hairdresser visit than a major operation. There is no deep drilling or anaesthesia involved. You can relax and listen to music in our comfort treatment chair throughout. Worth noting: the teeth may react with slightly increased cold sensitivity for the first 1 to 2 days afterwards (like biting into ice cream). This normally subsides very quickly.

An open smile is a wonderful form of communication. When patients dare to laugh heartily and without concern afterwards, we have done everything right together.

Frequently Asked Questions About Teeth Whitening

A professional and medical bleaching at the practice is considered very gentle on tooth enamel. It is designed to dissolve the embedded colour pigments from the tooth without removing or roughening the tooth substance.
This is a very important point: dental fillings, old crowns, or ceramic bridges are not affected by the bleaching gel. If these are in the visible area, we explain in advance whether bleaching is advisable or whether the fillings would later need to be colour-matched.
This depends heavily on your individual lifestyle habits. If you are a heavy smoker or consume a lot of tea and coffee daily, the teeth darken somewhat faster again. With good dental care, however, you can often enjoy the result for many years.
Over-the-counter strips from the drugstore are legally required to be much lower in concentration and often weaker in effect. The bigger issue is that the gel is not properly isolated at home – it thus reaches the gums, which can trigger painful inflammation.
Yes. If a root-treated tooth has darkened from within, so-called internal bleaching (walking bleach method) can help. The whitening agent is placed directly inside the tooth and takes effect there over several days.
Yes, with untreated caries, acute gum inflammation, or during pregnancy, we advise against bleaching. Also in very young patients (under 16), the enamel is not yet fully matured. We always check this in advance.
