When Your Smile Is No Longer Carefree
Our front teeth are constantly visible when speaking and laughing. Even small irregularities – a chipped corner, a gap, a stubborn discolouration – can cause us to unconsciously hold back our smile. Composite veneers offer a gentle, substance-preserving option to restore natural aesthetics.
- •Discolouration and Spots: Intrinsic discolouration from fluorosis, tetracycline, or root-treated teeth cannot always be sufficiently brightened through conventional bleaching.
- •Tooth Gaps (Diastema): Visible spaces between front teeth can be elegantly closed visually with composite – without braces.
- •Chipped or Worn Edges: Damaged cutting edges from accidents or age-related wear can be visually matched closely to their original form and colour.
Rather than sacrificing healthy tooth substance for a crown, the outer facade of the tooth can be restored with a layer-by-layer modelled composite shell.

What Are Composite Veneers?
Composite veneers are ultra-thin veneer shells made of a tooth-coloured plastic-ceramic blend (composite). The material consists of an organic resin matrix and inorganic fillers such as silicon dioxide or zirconium, which give it strength and natural translucency. For patients who value biological compatibility, modern BPA-free composites are available.
At MEDICAL ART, we exclusively use the injection moulding technique for composite veneers. A precise design is first developed on a model (wax-up) and transferred to a transparent silicone guide. The flowable composite is then injected directly onto the tooth through the guide and cured. Compared to freehand layering, this procedure delivers highly precise, reproducible results.

Why Composite Veneers?
Precision Through Injection Moulding
The injection technique via a pre-fabricated silicone guide delivers highly precise, predictable results – more reproducible than freehand layering.
Minimally Invasive and Reversible
The tooth enamel needs to be removed hardly at all or not at all. The natural tooth structure is preserved – the treatment can be reversed in many cases.
Highly Repairable
If a piece of ceramic chips off, the entire veneer must be replaced. Composite can be repaired almost invisibly directly in the mouth.
Lower Cost
Composite veneers are significantly more affordable than laboratory-made ceramic shells and offer an excellent price-performance ratio.
Experiences of Our Patients
Investment in Your Smile
The costs for direct composite veneers depend on the number of teeth to be treated and the individual effort of layering. Compared to laboratory-made ceramic veneers, they are significantly more cost-effective.

What Do Composite Veneers Cost?
Since veneers are generally aesthetically motivated, they constitute a private service. Contributions from supplementary insurers are possible with medical indication (e.g., after front tooth trauma or with severe enamel defects).
- ✓Statutory insurers do not cover costs for veneers.
- ✓Binding cost breakdown before treatment begins.
- ✓We recommend submitting the plan to your insurer in advance.
How Your Composite Veneers Are Created
Consultation and Wax-Up
In a personal conversation, we discuss your expectations. A precise design of your future tooth shape is then developed on a model (wax-up), which serves as a preview of the result.
Silicone Guide and Preparation
The wax-up is transferred into a transparent silicone guide that serves as the exact template for the veneers. The tooth surface is minimally roughened if necessary and prepared with a special adhesive technique for bonding.
Injection Moulding
The silicone guide is placed over your teeth and flowable composite is injected through small openings. The material is cured directly through the transparent guide with special light – for a highly precise, even shaping.
Finishing and High-Gloss Polishing
After removing the guide, the surface is polished to a high gloss with fine instruments and diamond pastes. This impedes plaque accumulation and gives the veneer its natural appearance.
Substance-Preserving and Virtually Pain-Free
The fear that healthy teeth must be heavily ground down for veneers is unfounded with composite veneers. In many cases, the tooth enamel does not need to be roughened at all or only at the micrometre level. The treatment is generally low in discomfort and usually requires no anaesthesia.
